Palmon Season 2 Guide: Crimson Rain
Note from Pamtib: this is a temp. quick-start guide to help the first few hours of Season 2, this page WILL change constantly when S2 opens when we confirm specific changes, keep this page bookmarked and return for newer/updated information.
1. Season 2 Overview
Season 2: Crimson Rain begins after Season 1/off-season. The core theme is a darker blood moon / curse map where guilds push towards the centre of the Palantis (map), reclaim Sanctums, upgrade their Holy Tower, and manage 'seasonal' resources.
| Season 1-style mechanic | Season 2 equivalent |
|---|---|
| Generator | Holy Tower |
| Coal | Holy Water |
| Bricks | Mithril |
| Brick Kiln | Mithril Workshop |
| Ember / seasonal relic system | Sacred Relics |
| Temperature / freezing | Curse / Curse Resistance |
| Blizzard | Blood Moon |
| Corruption / de-icing | Curse / Purification |
| Sanctums | Cursed Sanctums |
The main early goal is simple: generate resources, upgrade your Holy Tower, support your guild’s Sanctum push, and avoid falling behind on curse resistance.
2. First Hour Checklist
When Season 2 opens, there are a lot of pop-ups, events, buildings and map objectives. The best approach is to stabilise first.
Priority order
1. Unlock your starting territory
Clear nearby tiles and follow the tutorial until your basic Season 2 buildings are available.
2. Start generating resources
You need two main resources:
Holy Water
Mithril
These are needed for upgrading your Holy Tower and seasonal economy.
3. Attack Bullymon first
Attack Bullymon first, then progress into Queen’s Phantoms.
4. Upgrade the Holy Tower
Your Holy Tower is the Season 2 equivalent of the generator. It provides curse-related protection and is central to progression.
5. Upgrade Mithril Workshops
Get your first Mithril Workshop to level 15 as soon as possible.
6. Join guild rallies
Season 2 is heavily guild-based. Join rallies for:
- Queen’s Phantoms
- Gilded Brigands
- Sanctum objectives
- Guild progression
3. Core Season 2 Mechanics
Sanctum Siege
Sanctum Siege is the main map progression mode.
The goal is to:
- Reclaim Sanctums from darkness.
- Move towards the centre of Palantis (map).
- Push the guild’s Holy Tower forward.
- Secure territory and seasonal resources.
Holy Tower
The Holy Tower is one of the most important Season 2 buildings.
It is used for:
- Curse resistance
- Blood Moon survival
- Seasonal progression
- Unlocking or supporting higher-level content
Think of it as the Season 2 version of the generator.
Important note
The Holy Tower can consume Holy Water when activated, so do not leave it running carelessly unless you need the protection.
Holy Water
Holy Water is one of the two main seasonal resources.
It is used for:
Holy Tower upgrades
Holy Tower activation
Curse-related systems
Seasonal progression
Think of it as coal from Season 1.
How to get Holy Water
Key sources include:
Bullymon
Queen’s Phantoms
Seasonal rewards
Sacred Spring-related activity
Event/bundle rewards
Mithril
Mithril is the other main seasonal resource.
It is used for:
- Upgrading seasonal buildings
- Progressing your Holy Tower economy
- Expanding Season 2 infrastructure
Think of Mithril as bricks from Season 1.
Key tip
Prioritise Mithril Workshop upgrades, especially getting the first one to level 15.
Mithril Workshop
The Mithril Workshop produces Mithril.
Early-game recommendation:
Upgrade your first Mithril Workshop quickly, because level 15 unlocks additional workshop capacity and stronger Mithril production.
This is one of the most important early Season 2 moves.
Curse, Curse Resistance and Purification
Season 2 introduces a curse system.
Curse
Curse replaces Season 1’s freezing/temperature mechanic. Higher-level areas have more curse pressure, and marching or occupying certain map-tiles can expose you to it.
Curse Resistance
You need enough Curse Resistance to fight stronger targets and move deeper into the map.
Players with more Curse Resistance can fight higher-level enemies earlier and move deeper into dangerous areas.
Purification
Purification allows you to remove curse effects from territories or guildmates. Helping guildmates purify curses is part of Season 2 progression.
Blood Moon
Blood Moon is the Season 2 equivalent of Season 1's blizzard.
When Blood Moon is incoming, you should:
Check your curse resistance.
Activate or prepare your Holy Tower if needed.
Help guildmates purify.
Avoid overextending into heavily cursed areas.
Sacred Relics
Sacred Relics are Season 2’s major guild/seasonal relic system.
They are tied to:
Occupying Sanctums
Guild progression
End-of-season rankings
Seasonal power
They function similarly to Season 1’s Ember-style system.
5. New and Important Events
Healing Bloom
Healing Bloom is one of the more distinctive new Season 2 events.
Key details:
- You can heal Palmon up to five times per day.
- Different cursed Palmon may show different conditions.
- Healing uses items such as Lunar Bloom.
- Rewards can include valuable materials such as temperates, skill fruit, or other resources.
Recommendation
Do this daily once unlocked.
Blood Surge
Blood Surge provides stat buffs based on progression or existing levels.
Buffs include:
Attack increase
HP increase
Rage skill damage increase
Note: does not seem to require a completely separate investment path at first glance; it appears linked to levels or existing progression.
Great Golden Heist
The Great Golden Heist returns after the Season 2 transition.
Important points:
- The shop refreshes.
- Penguin’s Gift converts back to Stolen Gold.
- You can buy more priority items.
- Mount Shoes are a high-priority purchase.
- Gilded Brigands are worth doing while the event is active.
Recommendation
Do not ignore this just because Season 2 has opened. The event overlaps with early Season 2 and can provide strong value.
6. Class Skills and Builder Class
Builder Class remains the strong early Season 2 choice.
Note: class levels carry over from Season 1–I incorrectly suggested that these will reset, they don't, this seems to of changed at some point in a previous game patch update.
Key class observations
- Class level carries over.
- XP skills remain valuable.
- Builder remains strong for early-season progression.
- Supply Drop appears extremely powerful.
- Skill resets may be useful early if you want to optimise for seasonal resources.
Recommended early Builder priorities
Prioritise:
- XP-related skills
- Build/research acceleration
- Seasonal resource support
- Supply Drop
- Instant Build / Instant Research where useful
Supply Drop
Supply Drop can provide a large amount of electricity and looks very strong.
Recommendation:
Do not forget to use Supply Drop. It may be one of the strongest class skills for early Season 2 momentum.
7. Guild Priorities
Important: Season 2 is not a solo race. Guild coordination matters heavily.
Guild objectives
Focus on:
- Capturing Sanctums with your guild
- Pushing Holy Tower territory
- Rallying Queen’s Phantoms
- Helping with purification
- Donating seasonal resources (daily)
- Joining Gilded Brigand rallies (resource and item boost)
- Securing Sacred Springs (follow guilds already-mapped out path)
- Preparing for Relic Clash / Ember Wars-style events
Guild Holy Tower
The guild’s Holy Tower progression affects the wider guild push. The stronger guilds will move quickly, keep pace with your guild’s calls and try to remain active, if real-life calls and you will be temporarily inactive, let your guilds R4/R5 know so you potentially don't get kicked/removed as this will severely impact your individual GvG/SvS progress.
8. Recommended Season 2 Opening Route
Here is the clean version of what to do when Season 2 opens:
- Clear pop-ups and unlock your starting area.
- Attack Bullymon to start gathering early resources.
- Claim Holy Water and begin Holy Tower progression.
- Build and upgrade your Mithril Workshop.
- Push your first Mithril Workshop towards level 15.
- Join guild rallies for Queen’s Phantoms.
- Do your normal daily reset tasks.
- Check Crimson Rain event objectives.
- Review Aurora Summon and pick a Mega Evolution target.
- Check Healing Bloom once unlocked.
- Help guildmates with Purification.
- Use Supply Drop and other class skills.
- Continue Great Golden Heist / Gilded Brigand activity while available.
- Avoid marching too deep into cursed areas without resistance.
